(Washington, D.C.) – Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger last week signed on as an original cosponsor of legislation to gradually raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $12 by 2020. The “Raise the Wage Act,” which has been introduced in both the House of Representatives and Senate, would also index the minimum wage to keep pace with the country’s rising median wage.
