Caseworkers Help 1,550 Constituents

I ran for office because I want to help people. While I enjoy working on important legislation in Washington, DC, my heart remains at home in my district where I have made constituent service my number one priority. There, I have a team of expert caseworkers that can help constituents facing an array of problems at the local, state and federal level.

During these tough financial times, Marylanders have been reaching out to my office for help in record numbers. I am proud to say that my team assisted more than 1,550 constituents with issues including child support, unemployment, Social Security, veterans’ issues, financial aid, foreclosure, Medicare and worker’s compensation.

Recently, an elderly veteran contacted my office because he was having trouble affording his rent and prescription drugs. A claim he had put in with the Veterans Administration sat pending for six months. A caseworker on my staff contacted the VA on his behalf and was able to quickly restore his correct benefits. Because of previous miscalculations, the monthly compensation that he was entitled to as a United States veteran more than doubled.

I am proud of my efforts to help Maryland families, especially during these difficult times. Please don’t hesitate to contact my office if you need help. Click here for more information on casework services.
